Yoga for Beginners
Come and learn the basics of yoga. You need not be made of taffy to practice yoga! Yoga is not about bending into a pretzel. Yoga is a system of awareness to body, breath and mind through postures, breathing and mind’s focus. Students of yoga find the practice to help them relax into themselves and life with greater ease. Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners
The practice of mindfulness can be taken into daily life in ways that can transform the way we see and experience our everyday life. The practice starts and is sustained, however, through sitting meditation. With the help of guide and instructor, you can cultivate a personal practice of seated meditation, attention to breath and body and yield a greater sense of calm and expanded awareness. This class runs on Thursdays 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Register in advance as this is a very popular class and will certainly fill. Yoga to Relax and Unwind
With a meditative approach, gentle rhythmic breathing and gentle stretching poses supported with various yoga props, this class provides time and space and support in unwinding tension, experiencing relief from stress and entering a deep state of relaxation. These classes are on Wednesdays at 6 pm. With only 4-6 spots available in the class, it will fill quickly so register soon.
Tai Chi Chi Kung
Come and learn 18 flowing exercises from a standing position that link breath to movement in a way that both energizes and relaxes you, increases focus and balance and helps provide a sense of grounding.
